Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 7, 2026 · GrowFitFL, LLC

GrowFitFL, LLC is committed to ensuring that the GrowFitFL membership is accessible to people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to our platform.

1. Our Commitment

Our design target is to meet the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnification software, and voice input tools.

This is our target, not a certification of conformance or a claim of ADA approval. We continue to test and improve the service.

2. The Accessibility Toolbar

Every page on this site, including all member pages inside the Plan, has a round green accessibility button in the lower right corner of the screen. Select it to open the accessibility toolbar. From there you can:

  • Make all text larger, in three steps up to 150 percent.
  • Turn on high contrast so light text becomes darker and easier to read.
  • Switch to an easy-read font designed for readers with dyslexia or low vision.
  • Underline every link so links are never shown by color alone.
  • Reduce motion, which stops animations and smooth scrolling for members with vestibular disorders.
  • Turn on a large mouse cursor.
  • Highlight keyboard focus with an extra-thick outline.
  • Add extra line spacing and letter spacing.

Your choices are saved on your device and stay on for every page and every visit. A "Skip to main content" link is also available as the first item on every page when navigating by keyboard: press Tab once when a page loads, then Enter.

3. Measures We Take

GrowFitFL takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Designing the Plan with sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds.
  • Providing descriptive alt text for images used in course materials and the interface.
  • Ensuring that all form fields are properly labeled so screen readers can identify them.
  • Building keyboard-navigable components wherever possible so users who do not use a mouse can navigate the platform.
  • Using semantic HTML heading structure to support navigation by assistive technology.
  • Providing responsive design that works across devices and zoom levels.
  • Ensuring that interactive elements have clearly visible focus indicators.
  • Turning on closed captions automatically on embedded videos whenever captions are available.
  • Announcing page changes to screen readers as you move through the app.
  • Honoring the "reduce motion" setting on your device automatically.

4. Known Limitations

While we strive to maintain high accessibility standards across the entire platform, some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Known areas we are actively working to improve include:

  • Video content: Not all instructional videos have closed captions or audio descriptions. We are adding captions to new video content and working through our back catalog.
  • Satellite map functionality: The interactive satellite yard mapping feature has limited keyboard and screen reader accessibility. Members who cannot use this feature can complete all course content, harvest tracking, and garden planning without it.
  • Optional voice typing depends on browser support. Every goal answer can be typed instead. Video reviews are optional and a written review is available.
  • Grow More walkthroughs have no timed quizzes or quiz gates. Decorative images do not carry instructions needed to use a feature.
  • Some third-party embedded content (such as YouTube videos) is subject to those platforms' own accessibility implementations.

5. Requesting Accessible Content

If you need course materials, documents, or other content in an alternative accessible format, please contact us at contact@growfitfl.com with "Accessibility Request" in the subject line. We will do our best to provide the content in a format that meets your needs within a reasonable time.

6. Feedback and Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the GrowFitFL membership. If you experience any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

Email: contact@growfitfl.com (subject line: "Accessibility")

Phone: (305) 209-8128

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days.

7. Technical Specifications

the GrowFitFL membership is built as a web application using React and is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies and browsers:

  • Screen readers: NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android.
  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest two versions).
  • Zoom: Content is designed to remain usable at up to 200% browser zoom.

8. Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility feedback, you may contact the relevant accessibility enforcement authority in your country. In the United States, the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division handles ADA-related complaints: www.ada.gov.

9. Updates to This Statement

We review and update this Accessibility Statement annually or whenever significant changes are made to the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
