GrowFitFL is a membership club built around a simple belief: growing food can be the start of growing in every area of life. Grow Food, GrowFIT, and Grow More bring garden tools, training, and practical learning together for your year.
Jermaine Jefferson built GrowFitFL on less than a quarter acre backyard in West Central Florida, Zone 10a, growing over 150 edible plants. Twelve years as a certified personal trainer before he turned that same discipline toward food sovereignty.
Today the food forest feeds his family of six year round. His wife Toni runs her own channel, RootedinJs, alongside his. Four kids learning to grow before they learn to drive.
Three books in print: Grow Food NOT Lawns, The Florida Perennial Garden, and Discipline: What Nobody Wants to Hear. More than 40,000 subscribers on the GrowFitFL channel. The GrowFitFL Radio podcast. Practical teaching shaped by experience growing in the South.
Thousands of Southern growers have started their first backyard garden using what he teaches.
This is the operating system he wished existed when he started.

Most gardening content on the internet is written for Northern growers. Zone 5. Two growing seasons. Tomatoes in June. That advice fails here.
In zone 10, you plant tomatoes in February and again in August. Summer is the rest period for most cool-season crops. You can grow tropical fruit year-round. Your frost window might be one night a year or none. Your pest pressure is completely different. Your soil is sand.
Generic gardening advice costs Southern growers plants, seasons, and money every year. A zone 9 grower in Florida and a zone 9 grower in California have completely different growing conditions. The Club accounts for that. Every recommendation runs off your growing region, from UF/IFAS in Florida or your state's extension service.
That's what makes it different from every other platform and most YouTube channels.
Grow Food NOT Lawns is more than a tagline. The average family spends over $1,000 a month on groceries. The average Southern yard is covered in grass that produces nothing. That's a missed opportunity of enormous scale.
GrowFitFL Club exists to close that gap. To take every square foot of underused Southern land and turn it into food. To rebuild the food-growing knowledge that sustained Southern families for generations and is now one generation away from being lost.
That's the mission. One backyard at a time.
